Heidi Holland
Heidi has been dancing and performing since the age of 3 and hasn't stopped since! A native of Fairfax, VA, she was trained locally in tap, jazz, and ballet and was a member of both Tappers With Attitude Youth Ensemble and DC ARTistry Tap & Drum. Over the years, Heidi has worked with renowned artists such as Barbara Duffy, Diane Walker, La Vaughn Robinson, and Lane Alexander to name a few and had the opportunity to assist Dana Michaels at regional DMA conventions along the east coast. Since the age of 16, Heidi has worked with and choreographed for many dance companies including DC MetroTAP, Fairfax Dance Academy, Mayzsoul Inc., Centreville Dance Theatre, Soundworks, and New Image Dance Studio and was Artistic Director of the BDC Tap Project from 2004-2006. She has performed at numerous venues along the east coast including Washington DC's Capital Fourth show in 2001 with the National Symphony Orchestra (televised nationwide on PBS), the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival (televised live on channel 7), Joy of Motion's Jack Guidone Theatre, and Theatre Four in New York City. Most recently, Heidi performed at the Lincoln Center in "Broadway's Greatest Showstopper's" with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Marvin Hamlisch, starring Kristen Chenowith and Raul Esparza. In 2008, Heidi graduated from George Mason University with a concentration in Elementary Education. She continues to teach tap to all ages and abilities in the DC Metro area and performs with MetroTAP under the direction of Katie Padgett.
