Baakari Wilder is internationally known for starring in the Broadway musical Bring in Da Noise Bring in Da Funk, where he received a Bessie Award for his performance and assumed the lead role for a year. He has delighted audiences in France, Brazil, Africa ,and Japan. He has also appeared in Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, the Discovery Channel’s “Time Warp”, and as a guest performer on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance”. Currently he is the assistant artistic director of “Capitol Tap”, a new company residing in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
