Susan Kilbourne - Lighting Designer, Stage Manager

Susan Kilbourne (Stage Manager, Lighting Designer) started tapping at age four, and is a former tap teacher and choreographer. She is very honored to be working with this amazingly talented group of performers and to have this opportunity to use her technical theater experience to support the art of tap. She is proud to serve as Stage Manager and Lighting Designer for Capitol Tap, and filled the same roles with Tappers With Attitude Youth Ensemble for eight years. Susan is merely one third of a tech team that includes her husband, Chris Insley, and her older daughter, Alden Kilbourne; and she could not function without their support, finely honed skills, and willingness to tell her when she's wrong. Her younger daughter, Zoë Kilbourne, is a fantastic, inspiring tap dancer, a founding member of Capitol Tap, and the reason Susan started doing tech work for tap shows in the first place.
